WILL DANIEL AGGER STAY ON AT BRONDBY NEXT SEASON?

Daniel Agger says he would continue to play football due to his love for the round leather game.
The hopes of the defender staying on with Brondby are unknown but the 31-year old player declared his interest to keep at football.

He was quoted saying: “there were those who wanted it more than me, because I played football because I had fun. Every other year I played on the second team and I was alright with that.”

Agger finds joy in football and playing for his boyhood club by turning down reported interest from top clubs such as Barcelona, Arsenal and Napoli.

“I have special feelings for this club and for me that means more than money and material things,” He claimed after official joining Brondby in 2014.

The Danish national team captain so far has made 35 appearances for Brondby scoring two goals and helping the club to a third place finish in the league. He also helped his team get a place in the first round of the Europa league qualifiers where they eventually lost to Greek side PAOK in the playoff rounds.

However, this season Brondby are still in contention for a European berth as they are currently in fourth position and level on points with Aab Fodbold in the Danish Super Liga.

Although his injury problems still persist which has reflected in his making only fourteen appearances this season for Brondby, it still remains to be seen whether the club will look to cash in on their three million pounds signing or reward him with another contract for his loyalty and desire to play for the club. This was evident in the decision of the former Liverpool defender to return to the club, amidst juicy offers from top clubs in Europe.
