LIVERPOOL IMPRESS

Despite the fact that Liverpool is one of the most successful clubs in England and has won more European trophies than any other English team in the last few years the club has been going through a disastrous era involving constant changes in coaches and bankruptcy which lead to the club having a new owner.

Liverpool was sold to Fenway Sports Group on 15 October 2010 for £300m and the last time they managed to grab hold of the Premier League was in the season of 1989. Not only that but also failing to make it into the top 5 spots of their respective league in the last 4 years.

Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard used to be the most notable players for the English club up until when the Spanish striker made his move to Chelsea in which Liverpool sought out to find a replacement and secured the services of the Uruguayan Luis Suarez. It was his move which tiggered sport bet company Unibet to offer odds on Liverpool challenging for a top 4 spot once more.

The 26 years old Uruguayan striker signed a five-and-a-half-year deal until 2016 and was Liverpool's most expensive signing (£22.8 million) until the arrival of Andy Carroll (£35 million) a few hours later.

Although he has been known and pursued by some of the top European clubs due to his remarkable technical ability and quickness which allows him to play from anywhere around the box, Suarez has also faced a number of disciplinary incidents most noticeably when he bitted Branislav Ivanovic on April 21st and was later and was handed a 10 game ban for the assault from the FA.

These incidents have caused trouble with Liverpool and the player himself stated his desire to leave the club and the manager Brendan Rodgers stating that Suarez had shown total disrespect for Liverpool after some of his actions but ultimately it was all settled.

A strong start of this season has allowed them to maintain themselves in the 3rd position of the English League but the question is for how long can they stay in those top spots?
