Chelsea are interested in Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell. The blues have been heavily linked with the English ace.
The Blues have Alonso and Emerson to rely on in that position, but Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is believed to favor the transfer of Chilwell as he sees the rampaging left-back as an upgrade to what he has on his team.

Ben Chilwell has been in a fine form for the high flying Leicester city who currently sits 2nd place on the table with the same points as Chelsea. He has scored once and provided three assists so far this season from the left-back position.

He opened the scoring in the record-breaking 9-0 victory over Southampton, and recently he provided three assists in England 7-0 thrashing of Montenegro.

He was subsequently awarded man of the match award, he posted his award on his social media page and Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard was among those who reacted to the post. Chilwell is blessed with pace that makes him a real threat with his overlapping attacking runs.
Rodgers has been able to develop a Leicester team with a strong backline that consists of Chiwell, Soyuncu, Johnny Evans and Ricardo Perreira. The Foxes have the best defensive record in the EPL as they look to make an unlikely title run.

Chilwell is not short of defensive attributes, as he has been an ever-present figure in a strong backline under Brendan Rodgers.He is a proven Premier League performer and has nine senior international caps.
Another player that has been linked from the club is Soyuncu with the defender said to be on the radar of some top clubs. Liverpool are said to be monitoring the defender who has a similar playing style like former great Daniel Agger.
It will be interesting to see if Rodgers would be able to keep the team together by the end of the season.
