Agger Warns Of Eriksen's Attack

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger says that the club need not be warned more about the attacking qualities of Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen, who will be visiting Anfield with his Tottenham team on Sunday. This match was billed as the race between the top four at the start of the season. However, impressive form in the second half of the campaign has made Liverpool surprise title contenders, whereas Tottenham have fallen down the other end after the appointment of Tim Sherwood. Inconsistent results have made it very difficult for Tottenham to even think about a top four finish this season.

Despite this, Tottenham will be coming to Anfield looking to get revenge for the 5-0 defeat that they suffered earlier this season at the hands of the Reds at White Hart Lane. Agger, who knows his international teammate Eriksen extremely well, says that the attacking threat of the youngster should not be discounted. After several years of being linked with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, the 22-year-old joined Tottenham in the summer for around £ 11 million. He was one of the cheapest buys for the club during this period, but he has also turned out to be the most successful.

In the absence of Bale, Eriksen has been the main creative force for the club
.
“I’ve known him for a long time. He has definitely impressed me this season by the way he has stepped into the Premier League. I knew he had the qualities but the Premier League is difficult to adapt to quickly. But he has done that and it shows how good a player he is. Tottenham is another big game. But I think it’s quite simple, really. It sounds boring and it is boring, but given the position we are in now we have to take each game at a time,” said Agger.
