Agger Praised By Ahlstrom

Following the departure of Daniel Agger from Anfield Road, Brendan Rodgers named Jordan Henderson as the new vice-captain of Liverpool. Henderson is a player that joined Liverpool 3 years ago as he was signed from Sunderland with a price tag in the region of €20 million and has established himself as a vital player in the English club and is considered to be one of the best players to succeed Daniel Agger.

Daniel Agger decided to spend the next years of his career with the club where he used to perform during his youth with Brondby but the experienced centre-back has also made headlines in his country after he paid for Denmark’s homeless football team to fly to the World Cup in Chile.

The Homeless World Cup is a football tournament which started in 2003 and has been making the event each year ever since then with one of the objectives of the tournament is to end homelessness through the sport of football. The next edition of this event is scheduled to take place in Chile on October.

Frits Ahlstrom is an event organizer and he helps manage the event, he praised Daniel Agger for the contribution he made towards Denmark.
"When I replied that we were still missing 40,000 krone, he responded without hesitation: 'I'll give it to you,' then I contacted our administration. It turned out that within the past few days had received 20,000 krone in donations. When I informed Daniel that we only lacked 20,000 krone, he said: 'You just tell me where and when to spend the money; and also if there is anything else I can do.'
"There is no substitute for class and Daniel has it on as well as off the field as a player and person." Frits Ahlstrom said as he thanked and praised Agger for his donation.
