The Liverpool centre back Daniel Agger has said that Brendan Rodgers is doing a fine job as manager and the team will win trophies under his guidance in the next season.

In this season, Liverpool doesn’t have the chance to win any trophy now. In the Premier League points table, they are currently at no. 7 with 45 points in 30 matches. They only have to play 8 games now and their chances of finishing in top 4 are not looking that good.

When asked about the performance of Liverpool in this season, Agger said, “This is a team which is on the right track. The management is in the hand of right person and things are going well in the camp. Yes, we have not won any trophy in this season, but, we will win a few in the next season.”

“We have a few things to sort out. I think we need a bigger squad. That will give us more options.”

Agger has been a regular starter for Liverpool in the Premier League matches this season. He has been included in the starting line up in 29 Premier League matches in the ongoing season. The one match that he missed was due to suspension.

When asked about that, Agger said, “My fitness has been superb in this season and I want to credit Brendan Rodgers for that. He puts a lot of emphasis on fitness and it’s only because of him, I have played so many games without getting injured in this season.”

Agger who is the captain of the Denmark national football team is currently in Olomouc preparing for his side’s World Cup qualifying match against Czech Republic. The match will be played at Andruv Stadion on Friday.
